Questions
The things shop owners ask us before they sign up.
Yes. My Duuka keeps your whole shop on the phone itself - products, stock, sales, customers. Selling, receiving stock and printing a receipt all work with the network off, and none of it depends on getting a connection back. When you do have signal, back up your shop to your account with one tap in Settings, whenever suits you.
Creating your shop is free, with no subscription and no card to enter. We will always tell you clearly, well in advance, before anything about pricing changes.
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons shops move to My Duuka. Your attendant gets their own sign-in, and you choose whether they may give discounts, add customers, record expenses, or see what your stock is worth. Their sales are recorded under their name. If they leave, you freeze the account and their phone stops working immediately.
A shop is tied to one phone at a time - that is what keeps your records to a single, trustworthy till. To move to a new handset: back up your shop from the old one first, then sign in on the new phone (it takes over as your shop's device) and restore that backup from Settings to bring your history across.
If you had backed up your shop online, your records are safe - install My Duuka on the new phone, sign in, and restore that backup from Settings to get everything back. Backing up is a manual, one-tap action in the app, not automatic, so it is worth doing regularly. Either way, signing in on the new phone immediately cuts off the lost one so it can no longer trade.
Yes. It is your shop's data. We never sell it, and we do not share it with anyone else. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time - see the deletion page.
No. The phone camera scans barcodes. Plenty of shops never scan at all and simply search by name, which is just as fast for a few hundred products.
Yes. Set how many pieces are in a carton once, and sell either way. Stock stays correct whichever you pick, and the cost per piece is worked out for you when a delivery arrives.
From what the goods actually cost you. Each delivery keeps its own cost, and a sale uses up the oldest stock first. That cost is frozen onto the sale, so changing a price today never rewrites last month's profit.
Any currency you choose, including how many decimal places it uses and whether the symbol comes before or after the amount. Phone numbers are understood for most countries, so 077… is read correctly wherever your shop is.
My Duuka is on Google Play now. The iPhone app is being reviewed by Apple - create your shop today and you will be able to sign in on iPhone as soon as it is live.
